LBNF Blog June 2022

Although the month of May has been disappointing in some respects the Lord has given me some solace. In the business of the Kingdom, we cannot forget the things which are important to God may not be a top priority for ourselves. I love to strategize and send men into unreached areas for the gospel. As for follow-up, I do not share the same level of enthusiasm. As for my associate pastors who double as evangelists, they have a greater interest in follow-up. That is both good and bad from my perspective. It is good for discipleship; it is bad from the standpoint of resource allocation. May has been a month of follow-up. So, you can see why I am saying what I am saying, God’s will be done.

Prince has probably done the most exciting things this month. He has assimilated a man who was threatened by his father for following Jesus, and not just threatened but attacked and put in the hospital. Aashir (alias), escaped from the hospital to travel to an undisclosed area and find Prince. He is currently staying in what was dubbed, “Prince’s Place”, a training center for muslim convert/evangelists who were threatened with death by those closest to them. He had 18 staying with him at one time until I suggested at the direction of the Holy Spirit, he pare down to 12. He will be celebrating their departure on the 28th of this month. Come June 1 we will be supporting Prince’s Place with $270/month with the help of our donors. Frankly, the men were poorly fed but well accommodated, and taught. Prince is encouraged by our commitment. He is also planning another outreach to the Borno state in June three days after Muhammad bin Issa’s wedding scheduled for the 25th.

Pastor Badr in the Sikasso region of Mali is continuing to do minor outreaches among the Senofou with plans to set free 3 Somogo villages next month. We have not received the budget request yet. He had some modest breakthrough especially among the children there. His/our associate pastor Mifta has recently baptized five Soninke men in a village near his town of Kayes. One man named Sidi Diarra was healed by Jesus/Mifta of severe hand pain, prompting him to follow Jesus. His wife is a Fulani woman for whom he requested us to pray.

Cahil, a faithful man, has returned from his pastor’s conference with a few contacts we are processing. One potential key man is pastor Aariz from Conakry, Guinea (western Guinea). We hope to entice him to minister to the Fulani in his area of western Guinea. He will provide a man and a budget for recon work soon, hopefully. We also sent pastor Najib from Abidjan, Ivory Coast back to the Bozo villages. He led a drug addict to Christ recently who is excited about Jesus. His plan is to do a sports clinic (that is his specialty) and attract more locals to the gospel next month among the Bozo. Cahil just contacted our man pastor Nabil Nadeem from our last mission and asked him to reach the Mandinka villages near his area east of Ziguinchor, Senegal. He agreed. We are also looking into doing a mission directly involving Cahil in Louga, Senegal. We need local help. He will also reach out to a second Wolof village near Diourbel, his hometown Wed. In Togo, Mahmoud is planning to travel to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, to meet with Asad and receive some training in the Word of God. The Holy Spirit is not ready to use them again just yet. Praying about the timing of that. When Pastor Najib and brother Parvez visit Doudou from Aboissa, Ivory Coast, they will probably combine forces to reach the Nyarafalo in the Ferke area.
